Wiring an existing pillar tweeter to a new front door coaxial? Worth it?

My truck had an infinity system with blown amps on the front speakers when I bought it. At least that's what I'm assuming it was. I installed new coaxial speakers in the front door by cutting the speaker wire off the existing harness. Is there any way I can get my front pillar tweeters running on a 52wX4 head unit? With my limited knowledge I'm assuming I'd have to add a crossover but is it even worth it at this point? It just bugs me to have these pillars there for looks and not being utilized

It is possible, and not really that hard.A filter can be made from one non polarized capacitor, and placed inline with the tweeter.I have not done this in about 20 years so I would have to look up the cap value.

(one non polarized cap,or two polarized caps tied positive to positive,or negative to negative would work as well)

That cap will do it huh? Will the resistance stay at 4ohms across the parallel circuit? If my math is correct we'd be left with a 2 ohm circuit no? I think what I'll do is wire them in series with the cap in between and I'll end up with 8 ohms. Then I'll just fade to front to balance the volume?
