wiring amp

I have a Kenwood 9201D. It is a monoblock and 850 X 1 @2ohms. I have a DVC 4ohm 15' RE SE sub. The amp has 4 speaker connections (+,-; +,-). Will I need to hook up speaker wire to all four places, or will just 1 set do? Curious as to why there are 4 connection spots on a mono amp?

It is a MONO amp, which is why I am confused slightly. The 9102D is 500w x 1@4ohms, or 850w x1 @2ohms. If i wire by DVC 4ohm sub in parallel, it will present a 2ohm load. But when i wire it in that way I have only a + and a - , yet there are 4 inputs like I said before. So should I just wire it in parallel, and make 2 pairs of + and -, or can I just hook it up with 2 and leave the other 2 blank?

Can I assume they put 4 leads on the outside, but it is really only 2 on the inside so it doesnt matter?

OK, I havent been up on the high end stuff, but I think I have the answer.

The second set of terminals makes wiring subs in parallel easier. both + terminals are connected internally and both - are connected.

you should be using large speaker wire and large wire is difficult to combine into one terminal. many manufacturers of mono amps are providing a pair of terminals as of late.

the owners manual covers this as well.
