wiring amp

I have a couple smaller lengths of 0 gauge wire but none are long enough to go from my battery to my trunk. Would it be ok to take the three runs of o gauge and and combine them using a fuser holder between each? so i would basically have a run of 0 gauge with three fuse holders? It probally sounds dumb but i bought a lot of wire of ebay so i have everything i need. Will there be any difference if i did this or ran one 0 gauge wire to a distro block and used 4 gauge for the other 7 or 8 feet. My amps are a cadence zrs-9 (2000 rms) and and alpine amp (50x2).

You can do that, but an alternative would be to go to home depot, and buy three 1/2" copper pipe straight connectors used for plumbing and solder then like 0 ga butt splices. Then just either electrical tape them of shrink tube them for insulation. It's cheap and will work just fine.
