wiring amp with different impedance on each channel

my friend has this

amp, and he wants to wire one sub that is 4 ohms to one channel, and a dual voice coil that is wired in 2 ohms to the other channel. is this ok?

no bueno. only 4 channel amps haver that ability. it might play for a while but damage is most likely

^^^either do 2 dual or 2 SVC subs.Don't mix n match.

Is it possible? Yes, however running two different subs is not a good idea

Yes as long as the finial impedance doesn't fall below the recommened ohm load.However one sub would see more power then the other possibly causing failure.

unless you're dealing with some seriously rinky-dink subs I don't see a risk for damage, but at different power, and I'm guessing completely different subs I seriously doubt the resulting sound will be anything anyone would want to listen to. One good 300-500w 4 ohm or dvc 2 ohm would be the way to go with that amp IMO.

yeah. Sell the SVC and hook up the DVC so you can (hopefully) get a lower final impendace which means more power to the sub.
