guage wire for Kicker 1000.1 in mustang 07

I have a mustang gt roust, what gauge wire do i put to my kicker 1000.1 amp?

will i need anything else as far as power goes like capacitor or anything?

put 4 gauge to it and you should be fine, it wouldn't hurt to get a nice battery up front, in the engine bay, and maybe get a small battery, like a batcap 800 or a kinetik 600/800 in the back and you should be fine.

I'd go the safe way and run a 2 gauge. Make sure you got a good battery under the hood too.

x2 on the 2 gauge. if it was me i'd run 1/0... but i like to leave room for future upgrades... just my $.02

4ga will be fine. But it cant hurt to go bigger.

o well i probably wont go with any other amps, instead of upgrading battery, would a Cap be sufficient?

Don't be silly, you will be fine. People are always going to tell you they would run at least a size larger than they really would. It's part of the charm of the forumz.

you'll be fine with 4 gauge, they were just saying to get bigger in case you wanted to get bigger equipment later on. And you don't wanna get a cap, they're pretty much worthless, if you want something like that just get what I put in my first post.

powermaster D680 or kinetik 600 as a second batterry will be fine and ur lights shouldn't dim then...
