I have an RE Audio xtx 800.4 4 ch amp. 60x4 at 4 ohms, 90x4 at 2 ohms and 180x2 at 4 ohms. I'm trying to hook up a component set in my front doors and get the most power out of my amp. I was wondering if there was a way to run the amp bridged and still have left and right balance control. If there isn't a way will it sacrifice sound by bridging 2 ch's for the tweets (l&r) and mids (l&r). I don't think i've ever used the balance but kinda would like to have the option if possible.

I was thinking of taking the right rca and y'ing it to 2 cables and hooking them up to channel 1&2 and then doing the same with the left for ch 3&4. Would that work to give me the ability to have balance control between left and right and then be able to bridge ch's 1&2 together to hook up to the mid and tweet (and same on 3 &4).

I hope this makes sense. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

For clarity, why not example 2 ? Example 2 is 2 ohm...my speakers are 4 ohm and amp uses less RMS wattage with the bridged 4 ohm full range...
