Wiring amp to new stereo deck - question about warning in instructions.

Hi there.

I got a 08 Hyundai Tiburon and am replacing the stereo. I cannot use the standard blue/white remote wire for my aftermarket amp, as in my car it is used for something with the speedometer and would cause it to not work when the stereo is on. Since I cannot use this remote wire, does anyone have a clue what wire I can use for the remote?

I keep looking online and it looks like the upgraded sound version of the 08 tiburon has a 8in stock sub in the back, which mine does not have. So maybe my car does not have the upgraded sound? In that case would it not have a stock amp? If I can't use the normal blue/white remote wire, which wire would I use? I am completely stuck, so all help is greatly appreciated.

do a search on were abouts the stock amps are mounted, and go have a look in your car to see if it has one (sounds like it's the standard sound system)
From searching it sounds like the amp is in the side panel behind the drivers seat. I do not have an amp there, so I must have the stock system. If I understand the warning correctly, I should not use the normal white/blue remote wire.

Edit: After doing more research I have confirmed I cannot use the standard blue/white remote wire. Any idea what can be used as a substitute? Thanks

if it's an aftermarket headunit then the remote wire is blue with a white trace, if your trying to use the original headunit you will need to find out the wiring diagram/colours of your car ect

As mentioned in the first post, I know which wire is the remote wire. I simply cannot use the remote wire, as in my car the remote wire is used for the speedometer and it would get messed up if I used it. I am asking for an alternative to using the normal remote wire.

You can and do use the remote wire to fire up the aftermarket amp. Just dont connect it to the harness that plugs into the factory harness and you'll be fine.
