wiring amp in 1/0 gauge

ok thanks guys...I guess Ima go with reducers...SO um...do i need to buy 1/0 to 4 gauge reducers and 4 gauge spade terminals? Or just the reducer? I mean...does the reducer just connect directly to the amp or do i still need the spades? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks tons for help.

the amp doesn't have set screw type connections? I haven't seen many amps that require 1/0 (or even 4) that are spade type power connections.what amp are you working with?
I dont really understand your question...But its a kicker z 1500.1. Um..i was just basicly wondering is if I get the reducers...will I also need spade terminals? Or do the reducers connect to the amp themselves?

This is the zx1500.1?

according to the manual you don't even need the reducers. 1/0 should connect directly to the amp. It's a SET SCREW type connection - it's just a copper/brass collar with an allen screw in the side. Look it up at sonicelectronix.com, there's a great hi-res picture of the power wire connections.

it depends on what brand wire you go with, even with those 1/0 connections.

my kx2500 will accept my kicker 1/0 kind of easily. however the knukonceptz wire i have needs to be trimmed down quite a bit to fit in right. both are 1/0 but the knu uses more wire to make up for less copper. its called 1/0 but its a bit bigger

only ran into that problem with the knu wiring though.

at least you got the kicker wire. it will fit a ton easier than trying to make the knu go in.
