My question -

I have 2 3.5" dash speakers(I am treating this as front doors)

2 5" doors(treating as rear doors)

1 4 channel amp for these

2 12" subs with 1 monoblock amp

1 Clarion flip screen headunit

There should be 1 wire from headunit to each amp, correct?

do the doors even get wired directly to the headunit?

I bought the 4channel so i didnt have to amp them off the headunit - i was told good choice.

You need power coming from the Battery to a Dist Block and hitting each amp.

From the HU you need a set of RCAs (a 4ch and a 2ch if you want any kind of fading, or just 2 2ch). Wire the front and rear preouts (provided you have 3 sets) to the 4ch respectively, and wire the 2ch set to the non-fading sub-out (again if you have 3 sets) to the monoblock.

The door speakers and dash speakers get wired to the 4ch amplifier, and that's it. Then obviously the subs off the monoblock.

If you're asking this though, you're going to need more help.

3 sets of RCA pre-outs from your headunit, he means... front, rear, and sub (non-fading).

Yes, I agree, you are going to need to do alot more research or just pay someone to do this for you.

I have an idea of what im doing, just need a little guidance. I have a little experince with high powered CB's. Headunit I have a Clarion VRX775VD. In the manual it has front audio output terminal, rear, and non fader output terminal, so I am good.

It has a picture of a separate 4channel amp and just has added RCA's in between the output terminals and the amp itself.

Are all RCA's the same? Or do they get rated by the size of them?(like wire gauges)

Can somebody please give me some instruction on what gauge wire to run to all these things? Is there a basic "common knowledge" guide to understand on wht to run?

REAR

2 Audiobahn 3.5” AS31Q Coaxial Speakers

1 Polk Audio C400.1 4/3/2 Channel Amp

HEADUNIT
