Wiring 8 woofers

Does anyone know what the final load will be if you wire 8 (4 ohm DVC) woofer in series? I would think 1 ohm because if you wire four 4-ohm DVC subs you get 2 ohm.

Think of it as 8 8-ohm woofers.

So yes, 1 ohm can be achieved if you wire them all in parallel together after you wire each moofa in series.

I think it would be 64 ohms because when wired in series it adds up the impedance, but you can almost get any final ohm load desired you just have to get creative

I don't think you are correct. It is 1 ohm.

no if he series every woofer and series them together it will be 64 ohms

im sure he knows.. he just checking the #'s which im sure many people do...

Let me guess flipx 8 ed 8" kv's =]....

i gonna do the same but got 1 12" ported fi instead..... i hear those things are fairly decent product unlike most ed stuff... only other products they make are amps.

Series: R=r1 + r2+r3........

Pararllel: 1/R=(1/r1)+(1/r2)+(1/r3)......

Just divide the impedence by the number of poles.

8 ohm driver / 8 poles (VC) = 1 ohm
