ok i have to ma audio amps now when i hook them up to the battery do i need a distribution block or can i just run 2 amp kits? if i do need a distribution block do i have to run a fuse from the battery to the distribution block or can i buy a distributions block with spaces for fuses?

If you use a distrobution block, you need to first fuse the main line at the battery. then also at the fuse block for the smaller lines leading off of it.

If you want to just use two amp kits, thats fine too, albiet messier. If you just run one large cable to the back and split it with the distro, the overall install will be cleaner.

thanks i think im just gonna go with the 2 amp kits till i can go buy the block and other wire.

dont go with the 2 amp kits, thats a complete waste of time and a very sloppy install. get yourself a dist block from any car store and split the power wire near the amps. you can even use two seperate grounds and run each to each amp if you dont want to buy a 2nd block. and as far as remote wire, you can just run a wire from one amps rem input to the others.

you fuse for the wires capacity.

4awg can carry up to 150A. so fuse at 100A to give you some headroom and to keep you safe.

add both amps fuse ratings for the fuse by battery.

IMO run the distro block, just make sure it at least 4awg

That would be fine. With a little time it can be just as clean as any other method. Just make sure to fuse both wires at the battery no larger than 60A, 50 would be better.
