Wiring 1 set of comps with 4 channel amp...

I r confused and I am making this harder than needs to be I'm sure, but heres the specs...

4 Ohm RMS Power: 4 x 75 Watts

2 Ohm RMS Power: 4 x 150 Watts

4 Ohm Bridged RMS Power: mono 300 Watts

How would I wire comps for (mono) 300 @ 4 ohms?

I have Massive Audio CK 6 Comps but might be purchasing a different set. I want to listen to a few others before I decide which to use in my car. If I don't use the CK 6 in my car they will be going into my wife's.

I though about it but have no idea how to do it. I read the active vs passive thread but I am still a little confused. How exactly do you set it up?

to bridge you use 1 + and 1 - from the front set speaker connections on the amp. The amp will show which 2 to use. This goes to 1 of your speaker xovers. Then the rear speaker connections are the same but go to your other xover.

to go active, the speakers xovers are not used. you'd run the tweets off the amp's front speaker connections and the mids off the rear connectors. But i don't know if that amp or even your hu provide the xovers you would need.

So just to summarize so far, I can use the + and - from 2 channels to get 300w @ 4 ohm bridged and the + and - from the other 2 channels to get another 300w @ 4 ohm. Correct?

Or I can go active which will be kind of difficult since I don't know what I'm going.

umm, just looked up your comps and they are rated 130rms. you don't want to put 300rms to them. headroom is good but not this much
