Does having "monster" over non name brand cables worth paying the extra $$ for?
Hmm, for power wire you are right, I am not sure if he means power wire or RCA cables though.it can. for example, hold knu or stinger wire up to scosche or a lower brand name wire of the same AWG, and youll notice the insulation is thicker and/or the strand count is much less.
Pretty much. If you are using good quality OFC wire of correct gauge and terminated well you should be good. There is no need to spend $100+ on a 3 foot RCA when a $30 one sounds the same.some will argue yes, some will argue no... personally i don't think it makes a huge difference as long as rca's are shielded (though decent build quality counts, you wouldn't want any connectors being ripped out due to flimsy build quality. this could potentially damage your equipment...), and speaker wire is of proper gauge for the wattage you are running...
just my $.02
my bad, should have specified. i assumed he meant power wire.Hmm, for power wire you are right, I am not sure if he means power wire or RCA cables though.
agreed... i've used some old set of tsunami wires that came with an install kit i bought years ago and tested them side by side with some really expensive monsters and couldn't hear any kind of a difference at all...Pretty much. amazing prices on the hdmi cableshttp://www.bluejeanscable.com/
They are probably the best cables you will get for the price.
I've seen that before, it is awesome. You do want to be a little more careful with RCAs since they are low level signals and noise introduced will be closer to the signal level in the cable.
