speaker wire? probably nothing. not much of a load on it, unless we're talking high end systems with 3-4k per sub. power wire will will burn up no problem if its not the right size

Same as any other wire when you pass too much current through it. It'll burn up......

There's a reason you don't see people using 24 gauge wire in 30k setups

Right I'm just asking, i'm running 120 watts through 18 gauge cca.

I'd say that's fine, if your wire isn't ridiculously long and you're not running at like .000001 ohms nominal
