Wire Size Suggestion

Should I use a 1/0 to hook up my zx1000.1 or stay with a 4 gauge?

What are the benefits of a bigger wire and what are the downsides (if there are any)?

And what size fuse should I have near the battery if I did run a 1/0 gauge wire?

0 guage I would be recomending because that amp if going to want some power also if you ever want to power another amp you do not have to worry about upgrading your wire.

Alright I'm probably going to use 1/0 to hook that amp up and will I notice a difference in the amp?

I will be adding a 4 channel amp next month (probably the Alpine MRP-F600) I'm going to use 4 gauge for that.

LOL no all you need to do is get a distribution block run the 0 gauge into that than run 4 gauge to your amps than 4 gauge for grounds as well. You do not need to run another run of 4 gauge just for your 4 channel.
