Wire heating

I had to run my 4 ga wire around my motor and it gets warm under my hood is this bad or a danger, also if so is there something I should cover the wire with?

Yea you could cover it, but unless its getting extremely hot it shouldnt be an issue really

Hotter it gets, the more resistance. But enough to make a difference? Depends on temperature but I'd say no.

if its just warm, well so is everything else under the hood. Unless its HOT or laing on the engine/exhaust dont worry about it. If its too hot for your liking reroute it or get some covering

yeah tube that shit. Hell in an engine bay the black tube looks better than red/blue whatever brightly colored wire anyways.
