Ok, I'm almost to the point of installing the wiring... what gauages should i use from HU to amp, and from amp to subs?

btw... the amp is putting out only 250W

Wire gauge from HU to amp? 14-16 guage.

Amp to Subs? >14 gauge

oh yea some power wires for the amp... and do i need fuses of some sort?

get yourself a decent wiring kit and it will have everything you need in it

Fuses? Most definately

Power wire? Yup, need that. Look at this for approproate sizing.

walmart has a great 4 and 8 ga kit for like 25(4 ga.) and i think like 15(8 ga.). For 250 watts you will be fine with the 8 ga. But you might as well go ahead and get the 4 ga incase you ever decide to upgrade. i first started out with a single 8 ga. then i ran a single 4 ga. Then ran dual 4 ga. Then ran 0ga. now i am runing 2 0 ga. wires to my trunk. Always a great idea to get bigger than what you need in case you want to upgrade down the road. So maybe instead of doing 8 then 4 then someday 0 ga wiring. Start out with the 4 and you won't ahve to waste the money and time to run it a thrid time. But no way should you go ahead and buy the 0 ga right up front.

Stick with the walmart 4 ga wiring kit. Good kit at a great price.

hey by the way do you have any pics on your car pc. i am considering on designing one down the road. or at least give me more specs and what you did for it. Such as is it a full size motherboard. Or did you use like a old laptop without the screen. Fill me in please.
