It all depends on what your amp is ohms your running etc...like me i got a 1440 watt spl and just bought some 4 guage today and wired it up with my friend all depends on how much your pushn

I've heard that anything over 10 gauge for speakers is overkill unless you are pushing insane amounts to them. anything from 10-16 gauge is fine.

If you are talking between the amp and the sub, anywhere from 10 to 16 is fine.
