ive got my d1200.1 viper at 1ohm on a 4ga cable, this winter im getting some components and the profile cl800 which is 200w a channel, would i DEFINETLY need to upgrade the wire right away, or could i slip by for a month or so with the 4ga (ive got a 120a fuse in)

would definatly suggest upgrading to at least 2ga wire to a distrobution block......to much current on the wire could be a fire hazard

yea i was thinkin 1/0 gauge anyways, just wanted to know if i could MAYBE hold back for a month or so

im not telling you yes or no, but i will tell you this. I had my Tsunami 1800T running off 4 guage for way over a month. No problems occured, but i knew i needed bigger wire, so i went ahead and upgraded it. In my opinion, u should be fine for a month.....but that is just based upon my own experience

just dont crank the volume for the month, keep the draw low, and make sure its fused at least 18" from the battery. if it does overdraw, itl pop that 120 fuse and your out $1.50 for a new one.

so dont worry about it, but upgrade asap.

im thinkin welding supply for my wire, knukonceptz for my dblocks ( anyone know if they make one that could incorporate power split and ground split in one?) also i saw 1/0 to 4ga adapters think i can use them for my fuse block? instead of buying a new one
