Wire Gauge? Will it increase sound quality?

i know im new to this, thats why im asking everyone here for their opinions and knowledge. i would rather learn from you guys and do it right, then have to blow stuff and replace it. so follow that guide and ill be fine?

thank you. i am growing an interest in car audio that i havent experienced since i set foot on a skateboard 9 years ago. and people on this forum and on ecoustics.com seem to know what they are talking about. i want to learn as much as i can about everything related to car audio so i dont do anything stupid now, or down the road.

well..i just upgraded to all 4 gauge wire. and all i can say is it makes a huge difference. now i can turn it up high and it still sounds good, doesnt get muddy like before. thanks for everyones help. next im probably gonna do the big 3.

ps. the wiring kit i got came with a 4 gauge power wire, and an 8 gauge ground wire..whats up with that?

Cheap kit... Just get like 4 feet of 4 guage for your ground. I wouldnt run that with an 8 guage ground for too long.
