if a wire is rated to carry 400 amps at 600 volts at a distance of 50 ft. how many amps can the same wire carry at 12.5 volts at a distance of 15 ft?

So its going to carry the same amperage at 12.5 volts that it will carry at 600 volts only because the distance is shorter? IDK about that it has to be less, but I dont know the formula to covert it to find out.

you understand current right?

if anything, it would handle more current because its a shorter length!

the voltage doesn't matter when it comes to current.

a 10amp, 120volt mains cable, will handle 10amps at 12volts...

the difference is, that 10amps at 120volts, is 1200watts, while 10amps at 12volts is only 120watts.
