Uhhm, the Russian collusion happened and Trump admitted to it. I have kept up with this thread fairly well, and don;t recall seeing proof that the Democrats pushed for insurrection or a coup attempt at any time, but I certianly could have missed it. Can you give me a post number or share a link to the info and I'll take a look?

I actually have never pushed for violence in lieu of peaceful protest from EITHER side of the political coin.

Yes, January 6th DOES seem to come up quite often. Could it be because it's the only time in my lifetime that it has happened, and it happened under Trump's false pretense that the vote was "stolen" from him?

And don't paraphrase my words OR my thoughts incorrectly. I said only a moron would think a peaceful protest at the time the vote was to take place would stop it from happening, when NOTHING Trump had done up to that point made a shlt bit of difference. It would be tantamount to a killer thinking that shouting "I'm innocent" would stop the lethal injection as the plungers were being depressed. Once the day hit, the ONLY thing that anyone could think would change things was a MAJOR disturbance of the process, which would NOT come from "wearing hats and waving flags".
If you tell me you think "wearing hats and waving flags" could have changed the vote that day, I'd say you are either a really bad liar, or you are dumber than a box of rocks.
Which one is it?

ETA - I see all of quotes, and I don;t see how any of them can be construed as pushing for insurrection or an attempted coup. What of any of those suggested actions is traitorous and trying to derail the democratic process by preventing a president-elect from being voted in?
"I see all of quotes, and I don;t see how any of them can be construed as pushing for insurrection or an attempted coup."

In the fantasy world in which you reside, what does the word "uprising" mean? Here in reality it means:

"1. A popular revolt against a government or its policies; a rebellion.
2. The act or an instance of rising or rising up."

So literally the most powerful democrat in DC, the speaker of the house, said "maybe there should be more" revolt/rebellion against the Trump administration, and you are sitting here crying about Trump saying to "fight like hell" in the same speech he specifically said to do it peacefully. You aren't even trying to be rational.

Did Dale Jr. lose a race or something and you spilled your Bud Light on your favorite Daisy Duke shorts or something? You seem upset.
Dale Jr retired in 2017. The racing season has been over for more than two weeks. I don't drink Bud Light or any light beer. My coochie cutters are put up for the winter. That was an epic fail even for you bro.

This is simply more of you making statements that do no answer my question. You are just deflecting, likely because you can't answer.
You have half of the equation (you "know" Biden's plan is wrong), but not the other half (what is your "right" plan?).

I'll ask again so you can cure my naievete: What is YOUR plan to keep the economy from going tits-up from the ripple effect of this pandemic?

If there are plenty of available jobs, then people who got laid off are refusing to go back to work. We know that brand new business aren't springing up all over to create these openings. This means the UI benefit (which in my state happens to be only 50% of your normal income) will end. You can't refuse work and get UI.

Like Trumps $2Trillion stimulus package, the goal is to keep money flowing. It's the obverse of what happened in the stock market crash of '29: people panicked and sold, which drove stocks down, which caused people to panic and sell, which drove stocks down. The cycle continued until the stocks were worthless. In just 2 days, the market was pretty much devastated.

The stimulus package is an effort to keep the economy going so that it can eventually correct itself. Let things happen naturally, and one by one, businesses close, which puts people out of work, which means less spending, which means businesses close, which means more people out of work, which means less spending, and so on, and so on. This is not a situation that can naturally correct itself without a "synthetic push", which is the stimulus package.

I'll pose a simple challenge to you: call ONE business that has an opening and ask why it isn't filled by the employee that got laid off due to COVID, and whether that employee is still collecting UI. I'm very interested in hearing what they say.

As for the stimulus: they have worked sicne the market crash of '29. They have a history of success based on analyses by many analysts. What about your analysis shows the economists are wrong and you are right?
Whatever excuses these people are giving for not going back to these jobs seems to be ok with the people filling their pockets with assistance. Obviously their excuses are "COVID RELATED" Don't ask me why they aren't going back, I work for a living.

It's not "if there are available jobs" there ARE available jobs, period.

I told you already. Stop with the attempted vaccine mandates, Stop with the COVID assistance on top of and added to UI, Close the southern border, Stop telling businesses they MUST HAVE VACCINATED EMPLOYEES. Stop telling everyone that COVID is surging again in attempts to fear them into vaccines. In some states the death rate from COVID per 100,000 people is less than 70 people and as high as less than 350 per 100,000 people.

It is safe to go back to work and it has been time to go back for a while. COVID restrictions are keeping how many container ships off the coast of California still... no ships to unload, no jobs unloading ships or hauling cargo across the country in trucks or on trains. People will collect UI and COVID benefits. A direct action of this administration.

Lifting restrictions cost how much money??? While clearly it is more economically viable to spend TRILLIONS more dollars instead.

Damn... I will do a little better research next time... or actually do research period next time. I haven't lived in NASCAR country since 2015.
The entire country is Nascar country bro. There are Nascar tracks everywhere. Kentucky and Georgia, where you say you've lived for years now, are huge Nascar states. Florida to New Hampshire. New York to California and most states in between have Nascar tracks. Id have to look up the exact number put 35-40 states have Nascar tracks

My house that my parents are currently living in is literally a 10 minute drive down 29 to Charlotte Motor Speedway. A track I have driven on and visited the pits at. At Christmas they have lights all through the infield that you can drive through as well. I have video somewhere of it. It's a fun place.

You are living in fantasyland. Not only did Trump never admit to colluding with Russia (lol), the chips are starting to finally fall and heads are finally starting to roll of that lie and attempt to oust him from office as an illegitimate president. the fact you seem to have zero clue about that topic, and even think Trump admitted it, tells me you are far too uninformed for me to bother explaining it to you. The most time Im willing to spend on educating you on the subject is a link to an article discussing one of the main sources for the Steele Dossier, which was the jumping-point for the entire Russian collusion hoax, was recently arrested for basically lying to the FBI about everything. And Im linking to a CNN article, with it's anti-Trump spin, just so you can't claim it's just some right-wing fake news hoax...

"Yes, January 6th DOES seem to come up quite often. Could it be because it's the only time in my lifetime that it has happened, and it happened under Trump's false pretense that the vote was "stolen" from him?"

Literally right up until the 2020 election Hillary Clinton was still going on the speech and talk show circuit claiming she was the rightful winner in 2016 and Trump stole the election from her via Russian collusion. The same lie many top democrats in DC parroted throughout his entire presidency. So unless you were born after November 2020, Jan 6th isn' the only time in your life that it's been claimed, by powerful politicians in DC, that the presidency was stolen. It's merely the only time in your lifetime that you are willing to address, because it favors your political narrative.
"US President Donald Trump has admitted his son met a Russian lawyer in June 2016 "to get information on an opponent", but argues it was legal.
Donald Trump Jr's meeting with Kremlin-linked lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower could constitute a breach of US campaign rules, experts say. And the meeting is being investigated by Special Counsel Robert Mueller as part of his inquiry into Russia's alleged role to help Mr Trump win."
"On February 16, 2018, Mueller indicted 13 Russian individuals and 3 Russian companies for attempting to trick Americans into consuming Russian propaganda that targeted Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and later President-elect Donald Trump."
"Mueller reached a plea agreement with former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty to giving false testimony to the FBI about his contacts with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak."
Yep. A whole lot of fake news going on in history. No one dealt with any Russians. The Russian don't even know we have an election process here in the US. It was just a "beautiful (phone) call".

Clinton is still claiming she won the popular vote by 3 Million, but lost the election, which makes no sense at all. I do not see any evidence where she encouraged people to attempt a coup to put her in the seat instead of Trump. What is ironic is that Trump himself said the system was rigged almost up to the day of the election. As winner, he basically admitted he won because the system was rigged.

Please give me the dates of insurrection and coup attempts that occurred at the behest of a sitting president (or ANYONE for that matter) prior to Jan 6th, 2021. Forget my lifetime, go back a HUNDRED years.

RobGMN, there was no "Insurrection" on Jan 6th 2021. The media is all about ratings, period. It's what they do. If there was an actual insurrection then there would be constant coverage of the trials of all the "Insurrectionist" that "Stormed the Capitol" to "Overthrow" the government. The left would be celebrating yet another "Victory" against their mortal enemies, "Trump Supporters" and we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Truth be told, nothing is going to happen to these people in the end because if it did then they all would flip on the people who put them up to it and then the current administration would have to explain how all these people committed ******* while awaiting trial.

There was no insurrection, nobody is going to jail without being further compensated, the extreme left is still in power and Trump is not the president. Move on from a dead topic.

Context is key.
Trump wanted people to "fight like hell" based on the entirely false premise that the election had been stolen due to rampant voter fraud. Voter fraud that he could not, in all his power as president, obtain ANY proof of. Voter fraud that multiple studies across the US have shown does not exist. A complete lie on his part.
He wanted to "stop the steal" after he had lost the popular vote, after it was known that he would lose the electoral vote, on the DAY of the electoral vote. The DAY of the vote, when it is believed by scholars that "Article II of the Constitution prevents holding a presidential election again, thus putting it beyond the power of the courts to order a re-vote, as they have occasionally done for other offices. Others suggest that there is legal precedent for a presidential re-vote if there were flaws in the process."

With no proof of flaws in the process, and likely no way for the courts to change things, can you tell me what it MIGHT mean to "fight like hell" to "stop the steal"? With no LEGAL way to change the vote, what other means MIGHT there be?

Since this thread moves fast, what is the context of the suggested uprising by the Democrats? What were they wanting to fight against?

Yeah, context is key.

You mean "with your words" and "Peacefully" you know, the context you people willingly leave out and ignore.

You just admitted you should do research before posting things you don't know about.

If you REALLY think there was no insurrection on Jan 6th, you are living in some weird fantasy world that no one else lives in. Go do some research, because you just made yourself look like even MORE of a blithering idiot than you have before.
Over 700 people were arrested for storming the Capitol that day. People have already been convicted and are facing years in jail for the insurrection on Jan 6th. Perhaps you think it's all a news hoax played out by every source across the globe?

I know you have buddies here who support you. I'd like to see any one of them chime in and support your asinine opinion that the insurrection never really happened. I won't hold my breath.
Any takers?

LOL so eager to jump in and argue that you don't even begin to comprehend. Just because YOU call it an insurrection doesn't make it one. Go look up that Oxford Definition of insurrection before you chime back in.

Oh, but wait!!!!! I have the definition!!!!!!!!!!!!

"an organized attempt by a group of people to defeat their government and take control of their country, usually by violence: "

Read it dummy. You can try to argue all day but it will not change the fact that on Jan 6th 2021, the underlined was not even close to the goal and never happened.

Right, so just because *I* call that webbed footed creature with an orange bill that quacks, swims, flies, and lays eggs a duck, doesn't mean it IS one, right?
From Oxofrd: N. a violent uprising against an authority or government;
a situation in which a large group of people try to take political control of their own country with violence

But yes, I'm sure you are correct and Oxford is once again incorrect. Just like they were (and Eastwood Spring mfg) with "monoleaf spring". As are all the attorneys, judges, and all the news media who are using the term. Even Trumps own defense corrected a claim that it was not an insurrection: "Trump’s defense team, Michael van der Veen, stated: “The question before us is not whether there was a violent insurrection of the Capitol. On that point, everyone agrees.” He said this in DIRECT response to the following claim: "‘Insurrection’ is a term of art defined in the law, and it involves taking over a country, a shadow government, taking the TV stations over, and having some plan on what you are going to do when you finally take power. Clearly, this is not that",

Lemme guess: They're all fallible humans and they ALL got it wrong, but YOU are right, simply because you believe you are?
Sorry, not believing it no matter how many times you repeat it. You honestly sound like a clown when you post this crap.

1, usually by violence - The actions of the people were violent. People were hurt and people died. At least 140 law enforcement officers alone were treated for injuries.
2. an organized attempt - They were organized. Multiple people have admitted they were involved in "dozens' of planning meetings. Some people brought weapons of various types.
3. to defeat their government and take control of their country -They were there to prevent a vote from being completed. To defeat the democratic process. A vote that would remove Trump from presidency and put Biden in his place. That is trying to take control of our country by stopping the democratic process and keeping someone as POTUS that has been rightfully voted out. It just so happens that these were American citizens doing this in America, to the American government.

The events of Jan 6th meet all of the points in both your AND my quoted definitions from OED. If it meets even more points to fit additional definitions so be it. But it fits every point of the definition, so it can't NOT be an insurrection. That'd be like saying a duck is not a bird because it is aquatic. First and foremost it is a bird. The additional stuff makes it a duck.

I want to say it'd be fun to prosecute against you in front of a judge, but it wouldn't be. No challenge at all. Maybe if you did some research instead of listening to what you FEEL are the right answers given by others who are also unknowing...

BTW - good sidestep on having to prove your claim of people being paid by the gov't to not go back to work. Yet ANOTHER claim you had no backing for. Well done.
