That’s not an answer or clarification, just repetition.
So, how are people being paid to not work by the government? Is it a special program you sign up for? Do they contact working people and tell them to quit for money?
I’m asking for the specifics of the money source, who is getting it, and how.

I said the government is wanting to MANDATE VACCINES for Americans but the boarder is open and CONTINUES TO ALLOW NON VACCINATED AND OR COVID INFECTED PEOPLE INTO THE COUNTRY. How can you claim to want to end COVID but allow NON VACCINATED AND OR COVID INFECTED IMMIGRANTS INTO THE COUNTRY.

Did you know it benefits an employer to get people off of UI, which will make them very likely to report anyone who refuses to return to work?
Did you know that the UI bump is long over, and people are back to getting only a small percentage of their normal income?

How do we end COVID? We kill it off like we do with other “plagues”. I’ve listed them all as nauseum. But to do that, we must all be part of the fight.
It should really hard to whine that unvaccinated people might come here, when many of our own citizens are unvaccinated at a similar percentage as the average immigrant (from Mexico, since they are what many people think as the only immigrants to come here).
What is it about immigrants that makes them more likely to spread COVID than someone from, say Georgia or Tennessee? (again, those states have almost the same rate of vaccination as Mexico).
Remember when Trump "closed the borders" to stop COVID, but let Americans come back unhampered from foreign countries? Yeah, because there's no way an American could bring back COVID, right? WRONG. If you're worried about immigrants and COVID then our own people should be vaccinated 100%, since immigrants coming here legally will be.
You know why Canada closed their borders (no "a" in it) to the US? Too many of us were not vaccinated and they wanted to slow the spread of the virus. And yet you're worried about others coming across OUR borders, lol

Did you even read the link you posted? This is pretty important: "to assist those who lost work due to the COVID-19 crisis". In other words, people who would still be at work if not for the pandemic.
UI is not really a good tool for arguing your point of helping our economy, especially since you don;t seem to know anything about it or how it works.

If there are plenty of available jobs, then people who got laid off are refusing to go back to work. We know that brand new business aren't springing up all over to create these openings. This means the UI benefit (which in my state happens to be only 50% of your normal income) will end. You can't refuse work and get UI.
Like Trumps $2Trillion stimulus package, the goal is to keep money flowing. It's the obverse of what happened in the stock market crash of '29: people panicked and sold, which drove stocks down, which caused people to panic and sell, which drove stocks down. The cycle continued until the stocks were worthless. In just 2 days, the market was pretty much devastated.
The stimulus package is an effort to keep the economy going so that it can eventually correct itself. Let things happen naturally, and one by one, businesses close, which puts people out of work, which means less spending, which means businesses close, which means more people out of work, which means less spending, and so on, and so on. This is not a situation that can naturally correct itself without a "synthetic push", which is the stimulus package.
I'll pose a simple challenge to you: call ONE business that has an opening and ask why it isn't filled by the employee that got laid off due to COVID, and whether that employee is still collecting UI. I'm very interested in hearing what they say.
As for the stimulus: they have worked sicne the market crash of '29. They have a history of success based on analyses by many analysts. What about your analysis shows the economists are wrong and you are right?

Uhhm, the Russian collusion happened and Trump admitted to it. I have kept up with this thread fairly well, and don;t recall seeing proof that the Democrats pushed for insurrection or a coup attempt at any time, but I certianly could have missed it. Can you give me a post number or share a link to the info and I'll take a look?

And don't paraphrase my words OR my thoughts incorrectly. I said only a moron would think a peaceful protest at the time the vote was to take place would stop it from happening, when NOTHING Trump had done up to that point made a shlt bit of difference. It would be tantamount to a killer thinking that shouting "I'm innocent" would stop the lethal injection as the plungers were being depressed. Once the day hit, the ONLY thing that anyone could think would change things was a MAJOR disturbance of the process, which would NOT come from "wearing hats and waving flags".
If you tell me you think "wearing hats and waving flags" could have changed the vote that day, I'd say you are either a really bad liar, or you are dumber than a box of rocks.
