WINisd question when selecting multiple ports

What would you do with a trunk car and a ported box?

I cannot wall off the trunk. I was thinking I would face the

woofers forward towards the back seat (right up on it)

and fire one or two ports on back/bottom part of the sides.

like this box:

How does that effect delay? How do you compensate?

from my experience, firing subs directly into the back seats is not good. the subs won't sound loud at all

either fold down the seats and fire into the cabin or fire to the rear. the other option that works and I use is have the box at the rear of the trunk firing toward the front of the car

Thanks, I think I'll fire to the rear. I just can't fit the

ports or vent on the same plane (side of the box)

as the speakers. I do n ot want to choke off the

cabin with too much box height.

Basically, I will do a box like above, but have the woofer

on the trunk side not the back seat side. The ports should

be 2-3 inches back from the woofer along the sides, loaded

6-8 inches from the side wall of the car on each side.
