windows xp help!

hii, i have a dell with windows xp home edition and as soon as i log in it plays the windows music, shows the home screen,then logs out and goes back to the login page. safe mode does the same thing

any ideas?

try repairing the windows installation with a windows install disc

yah i dont know how to do that, i dont know how to boot from that cd

If you put the disc in the drive then power off and back on

On the first screen it might say F8 for Boot Menu or possibly Delete Key

Just look for it and press it quick (may take a couple tries depending on how quick your pc boots).

Then Just Press the Down Arrow to CD/DVD and Press Enter

Make sure booting from CD is enabled in the BIOS first. I believe its F2 when your booting to allow booting from CD.
