Windows Firewall?

I just got a new computer and I have the Windows Firewall running. I've had the computer turned on for maybe 4 hours and the firewall has turned itself off about 5 times so far. Anybody know why it would keep turning itself off and how do I fix it? Or do I even need it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I've got a Linksys wireless router. Would that have a built in firewall?
i believe so... the windows firewall is good for newbs, but if you try to do certain things through the internet, it won't allow you to... which in that case you would have to remember to disable it and try again or you'll think you're computer is broken...

Eh with that router i would deff. make sure that the wep key is encrypted on it. Yesterday driving around my small town I found 3 unencrypted networks and they were all lynksys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.
