How do i grab connection?

i just got a laptop, and just recieved my wireless pci card. How would i go about and grab my connection at home? im all wireless around the house, so how would i achieve this? is there a command i need to type? somehting i need to download?

there should be a little monior icon near the clock at the bottom right...then click it and it should give you a list of servers to choose from. on my laptop atleast

what he said. if your wireless card is put in correctly, the computer will recognize nearby connections and let u know which are protected and so forth

If the wireless monitor is not yet set up, then go to internet connections and run the wizard. It should walk you through.
