cool. you think i will have any problem with ram? i have 768 mb. it reccommends a gig. i'm gonna upgrade ram just have not had a chance yet.

Get more ram, My test machines run 4-8 gigs. For the home PC I use 4g and have no issues at all with the x64 build.

Win7 is pretty nice, I work on it everyday.

Far better then Vista and not as much as a resource hog either. Vista could have been great but it was pushed out WAY to fast with many issues.

Probably the best Windows I've worked with ever. Installed with little to no hassle, once I got partitions figured out. Had drivers for RAID, Network and sound from the getgo. Generic, but better than the blank slate XP left me with every time. Smooth interface, easy on the eyes. Stable running in 64 bit mode, switching out between games and WMP, and AIM.

yea i am liking it so far. it's running nice with what ram i have. so it should do pretty **** good with 2 gb's.

Stupid question...but if i install it will it wipe my harddrive?

it will clear your previous os and i believe programs. But there is an option to not clear your HD.

I like it, it has pretty much the same feel as vista with some easier interfaces

My beta expired today. I'm too lazy to install the RC right now but I really like it. I had a few software hick-ups but for video editing on the 64-bit with 6 gbs of ram I render almost twice as fast as I do on XP 64-bit.

I have vista and it's shit, should i upgrade to Win7 or downgrade to XP? Being new and all i'm not sure Win7 would be compatible with some of the older programs.

Windows 7 owns XP. The only software I have had issues with were hack-based stuff and Adobe CS4. Adobe all I had to do was delete the cpl file. It has really impressed me, but then again after Vista it wouldn't have taken much.
