hmm i just dont think they're in the price/performance sweet spot for laptops yet.. sure the next laptop will have one but probably wont put it in this one..
I do sort of want an airport extreme or a time capsule though..

increase in performance while increasing battery life as well as decreasing heat is the main consideration

the ssd i have is the standard $125 30gb model as well, the $200+ ones are suppose to be extremely fast, but i cant afford to waste that much

i already have a 9cell battery and i've never felt it was inadequate as far as run time.. it gets me through a full day of classes no problem.

plus i'd want at least a 64gb drive.. which would be more money that its worth imo

this thing does run hot though.. that would be a benefit.

XP was much more than a GUI refresh for 2k. You fail. At the core it was a robust NT based OS, sure, but on top of it many multimedia and consumer level functions were added. It was more of a Me multimedia enhancements added to 2k along with compatibility modes and a new skin. To say it is simply a new GUI for 2k is just incorrect.

2K was stable though and I don't see how that retard lumped 2k in with Me.

I like Vista. It was a good refresh. Now they are making it better. This isn't any different than anything else made that we buy. usually the first gen has somethings that could be changed or some efficiency added to it. Look at 2k. It was a great OS but not read for a consumer market, then the refresh of it(XP) kicked ***. I have tamed Vista and enjoy using it.

Now ME on the other hand. Was supposed to be a better 98. Unfortunately it was even more unstable. Recovery mode sounded good on the surface and proved to hardly ever help.

Ordered a copy last night for my desktop. I'm more than willing to pay 30 bucks for a legit OS. The reason up until now that I've pirated every OS I've used? You're smoking crack if you think I'm paying 200+ for this shit.
