window tint, unhappy install...

haha......did they do john's car? or had you seen any they had done before yours? Take a picture tom during the day. Is 35% really not dark enough?
yeah they did johns and they looked fine to me...

That was in the day i took those pictures from the side so you couldnt see straight through the car. At night, in the rain, and dusk you cant really see in, in the day time with full sun shine you can see straight though from some angles and cant see in at all from others... I wanted 5% on all the back and then like 30% on the driver and passenger..... that didnt work out.

it seems like in the first pic where theres that gap between the stock and their tint, it looks like they may have done that on purpose. its just so perfectly outlined that it looks like they meant to. that rear window looks like trash though. that definitely needs redone.

I looked at the side windows and that is pretty much as good as he could do i think.

I just hate the rear window. I could get them to just redo the back window. What yoll think?

Well i took my car to the local audio shop who advertised tint jobs. I give the guy my keys and he walks away, i said does he know what percent i want and the guy said he is doing "blah blah blah 35% because its legal". So i go with the flow, i wanted darker but i wasnt going to say anything.
dude wtf, I would have gotten my keys and said stfu im out. and gone to a better shop that would have done what I wanted.

The guy actually said "blah blah blah" ?

they might only do legal tint jobs because if somebody got pulled over for illegal tint, they might have snitched out the place that did it for them. going darker will cost more.
any place could tint w/e percentage they want. they can get snitched but nothing will happen. why? because the it is the responsibility of the owner of the vehicle to know the state laws and stay with the laws. that's like saying you got caught speeding, and blaming it on the car maker because they make a car that has the ability to go faster then a posted speed limit..

i once got a tint ticket for a old junker i bought that had 13%tint all the way around(cept windsheild). when i got pulled over and the cop metered my shit he was like your tints too dark, i said well i didn't know i just bought the car and the car had the tints on there, he replied stating that the car was now under my name and is now under my responsibility. not the person who sold me the car, or the people who put the tint on.

but anyways. on topic, that is a shitty *** job. a lot of tint places i have heard won't tint on those black dots for that reason. because the lumps cause the tint to lift and not adhere properly.

i am young and anxious, i wanted my windows tinted. Of course i made a small mistake, but since i have a life-time warranty, which i made sure of, i can go back and get it til its right.

Well then what do they do? Just not tint where the dots are, but all of the rest of the window?

only thing is... SC tint laws state 27% is legal all around.... therefore, why in the hell would they do 35%
Local tint place around here told me when tinting my car, the companies they get the tint from only makes 25% and 35% besides lower/higher %. Since SC gay law is 27% they can't use 25 and forced to use 35%.
