Will this system work ok?

Pioneer DEH-6450BT or Pioneer DEH-X6550BT (undecided)

Boston Acoustics GT-2200 2 channel 200W RMS each

Morel Hybrid 602's components

Alpine MRP-M1000 600W @ 4ohm

x2 Alpine SWS-1243D wired 4ohm at amp

1/0 distributed to 4 awg wiring to amps

So the main thing I am concerned about is the 200W going to the 140W speakers. It is my understanding that overpowering is ok as long as the gain is set correctly, and that morels will handle the extra power.

More or less, yes. Just make sure the Morels aren't receiving a clipped signal and you'll be fine.

Some people just go conservative and set their gains by DMM to the rated spec of the speakers using either a 1KHz 0db or 1KHz -5db test tone.

I just looked up a video on how to set the gain up with a DMM and it seems easy enough, So ill just make sure they are getting the correct watts and not clipping.

Do you have any opinions on 2v vs 4v rca inputs? The 2013 version of the headunit I like doesn't have 4v RCA's, but everything else about it is slightly better (as to be expected with the next years release)
