What squeak said. The box with no back situation is not IB. If you do not seal off the front and back waves from each other, its not IB, its just crappy. Realistically, a speaker enclosure works pretty lousy as an alternate storage compartment as well. Not even getting into the difficulty of getting the internal volume correct if other things will be occupying the space besides the speaker, it would be impossible to seal the enclosure off well enough while still allowing access to the bottle on a regular basis and having lines running in and out of the box. Its a bad idea, and like someone else above said, it sounds like you're just trying to get away with something here anyway. If you're building a street racer and just dont have rtoom for everything including a speaker box.... well are you building a street racer or not? If you're just trying to hide your bottle because you aren't supppose to have one, well I wouldn't help you cheat anyway. Any way you slice it, its a bad idea.

I dont know how I would be cheating since there isnt anything to cheat agianst. I dont street race because thats just stupid and Insurance on a cobra is high enough. I do like to hide things and keep stuff looking clean. I also wanted to save some room by doing this. I guess I will go with my old set up. I remembered some Pioneer subs back in the day that you could do something like that, but Im not sure. Its not a all out race car either although I do go to the track alot.

I used to have a bass link and that sounded good to me, but it took up to much room on top of the trunk mat along with the bottle.

I got rid of that and go a very small box for a 10 with legs so it could fire down. I put this along with the amp in my spare tire well. I was kinda happy with this until the speaker blew. It was a cheap speaker anyway. So today I was looking at the box and I said forget it, I bought another 10 to put in my spare tire well.

Know I need to do something with these subs and box

My comments were based on sanctioned racing where a nitrous system could put you in a different class. Also, nitrous oxide on a car is not legal in some countries that we do have members here from (UK for one), which would be another reason someone would chose to hide the system. I would not condone doing this in either case. But since neither of these apply to you aparently, neither do my comments on the subject. I appreciate everyones help before I even really got started on this and wasted my time. But Im gonna figure something out to make it all look clean.
