Argh, Still pluggin away with my port, and i have a question for people that know somethign about ported boxes...

Would this slot port design work, so that I have space to make it longer?

well i mean it will work, but i dont' know what i'm really looking at. i have no idea as to the dimensions. in all actuality, with that strange of a box, a round port may be better.

as long as the port is the correct size, and the box has the air space you need, you can make it any way you want.

Why not just run it angled along the back wall?

with a design like that u will have a couple of standing waves inside the box...i suggest u round all your corners and angles...and u should be fine..as long as the sub is getting its proper air space ...u should be good

Omg, Im gunna kill myself then... Ive been screwing around for 3 days with different port sizes, etc...

Well, I guess trying that wont hurt either.... Hope it works!

So let me double check something else...

I have it at 38hz or so right now, it gets loud on certain songs with not so runbly bass... if I tune to 30-32hz, I will get the low end better?

Yeah, its 2.5 cubes, without the port in place... so by time I factor that in, im at about 2.3cuft or so.

SHould be alright.

yes...i'm just saying about the port (without even knowing wtf that is lol), if you are going to have it suspended, why not break it at the required length and use the baffle or panels as the port wall?

it will more than likely be noticeable during deep bass hits, but it's not going to be a night and day difference.

Did you consider using round ports? it would make your like 10x easier

Yes, tuning lower will boost the low end much better, however you will lose a bit of output. That low of tuning is normally for SQ, shoot for 35Hz or so, I had that for my two 12's and I listen to rap and it sounded awsome.

Well now that ive hacked the hell out of the top making ports, i cant really switch to round... cause the hole is 2" x 10" now...
