I was thinking about sticking a brahma in a 2 cube after displacement box and powering it with a jbl1200.1? i want it ported at adire's recommended frequency but i forgot what it was and don't feel like looking it up now. also would that be a good frequency to port it to if listen mainly to music with my system? i know its somewhere around 33-35hz which seems really low for actual music.

yeah i'd say it will handle that all day and night in fact i know it would.

what i ment was i'm not going to really use it to play test tones so i want to port it at a frequency that is actually used in music. I'm a newbie but isn't a ported enclosure loudest at its tuned frequency and gets quieter as you stray away from the frequency. not too much music has 33hz frequencys and it seems kind of dumb to have the loudest frequency my box can play be a frequency that i don't even use that often.

You will be suprised.

more of the newer music is playing lower..

port it lower, and you will still get the output of the ported box, but you will gain so much more in SQ.

port lower for daily driver, port around 40-50 for just pure SPL.
