my battery i'm gonna use only has side posts. i need to hook the stock wire, 2 piece of 1/0 gauge, (big 3 and sub amp) and another piece of 4 gauge. i was thinking just get a brass bolt long enough, and i'm all set. does it sound good?

Sounds like it will work to me. I am assuming you are going to be using ring terninals (I hope so). Also I am sure you know but just in case you dont, they make side post to top post converters. my battery doesn't have top posts. i can't see why it wouldn't work if i get the right size bolt.

No I was saying your idea would work but you could also look into getting a SIDE POST TO top post converter, either way will get the job done.

It's a top mount terminal that has a screw to bolt into the side terminal...most places that stock wiring accessories sell them.

someone has done it to this car before. the positive side post is missing and has metal terminals and a steel bolt and it is corroded to hell. i figure if i take that bolt out, and get one the same size that's a little longer and brass i should be good to go.
