Wow. Suggest a bargain basement amp AND running at less than min spec'd impedance when there's nothing to gain over 2 ohms??

Wrong amp for the subs, like others said...just wire both subs' voice coils in series and the wire both subs parallel to something like this for 800w rms @ a 2ohm load.

so tell me, what is the advantage of buying an amp below its rated impedance when you can probably get the power you need at rated impedance and risk your amp smoking?

didn't realize op was talking about CVR's not CVXs lol. Id still recommend the APSM as its the most bang for your buck, will do rated or **** close, and if you decide to upgrade subs and need more power its there for you at 1ohm.

there is none, but you forget about box rise lol and it can handle 0.5 with box rise loads. check it out.

box rise is a variable. You are assuming that there will be box rise. Sometimes there is and sometimes there may not be or even that box rise is minimal. I didn't forget box rise, I just wouldn't rely on something that is rather arbitrary when running a lower budget amplifier.

its personal choice really but they are better amps out there no doubt, especially for his final ohm load.

I agree, but there's also nothing wrong with running the AP amp, just not at 0.5ohm. Especially if he can probably get the power he needs at an ohm load the amp can operate safely at, like I stated earlier
