The side the port is firing in my plan, is the only side it can fire....all of the other sides (includeing with sub face side) are to close to the walls of the trunk

How can you not fire upwards ?

Make a laberynth/L with the port facing up

well, The way the box fits in the trunk the sub is probably too close to the trunk lid (the box sits just like it is drawn) and I dont want any cancelation with the trunk lid

nope...David FTW...Why didnt I think of that, probably because Im not a box designer....So is that 26 inches with 2.5 inches of port width
