Will this box work with this sub?

I purchased 1 10" MTX 8000 Sub (1000 Watts/400RMS/4ohm)

It will be powered by a 400watt amp.

My friend has a Q Logic Sealed Box (1.25 cubic feet)

How will this sub sound in this box?

I really don't have the extra cash to pay $60 for a box, my friend is giving me this for $10. Should I use this box or would I be better off buying a different one for $20 at the flea market?

The subs specs are here, Im a complete newbie to car audio, so I dont even know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

He said the box can be ported. My question is...how? Yes, I'm a huge car audio newbie //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

or.....

i'm not a fan of prefab boxes b/c they're usually made the cheapest way possible and of 5/8 MDF instead of 3/4, but you could use that box and very easily add a round port to it. this would be the cheapest way. you'll want to use a single 4 inch diameter pvc. i dont have bass box pro 6 on this computer, but i'm sure if you someone here would be more than pleased to plug in the numbers in bbp6 and figure out the necessary port length for a 1.25 ft. ^3 box with a 4 inch diameter pipe. c'mon guys anyone, quick easy calculation on bbp6?
