Will this Amp run my new speakers?

I am very new to the world of car audio. I just bought a new deck, front speakers, and back speakers and am currently awaiting their arrival in the mail.

I realized with my new speakers it might be ideal to buy an amp to run them. However, since I spent most of my budget on the speakers/deck I am forced to find a cheap amp online. I can get this amp for $30 on craigslist: Kenwood KAC-5201 Kenwood KAC-5201 40W x 2 car amplifier at Crutchfield.com

Deck: Sony MEXBT5700U Amazon.com: Sony MEXBT5700U CD Receiver Bluetooth Hands-Free and Audio Streaming…

Front Speakers: Infinity Kappa 462.9cfp Infinity Kappa 462.9cfp 4"x6" 2-way plate car speakers at Crutchfield Signature

Rear Speakers: Alpine SPR-69C Alpine SPR-69C 6"x9" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield Signature

Like I said, I am very new to this and no little to nothing about amps. Thanks for your help and advice.

how do you figure your going to run 4 sets of speakers of a 2 channel amp???

unless you were thinking of running the kappas of your deck and the alpines off the amp....either way those alpine 6x9 are rated at 100w each. if you want to get them moving your going to need a amp that can put out 100w per channel, NOT 40, your going to push that amp to clip and send bad power to your speakers.

instead of buying cheap junk, save your cash and get something decent. unless you dont care about good sound or abusing your gear....go ahead

Thanks for the reply. I really knew absolutely nothing about amps, and that post cleared a bit up. To make sure I understand it correctly now, to run all 4 speakers off of one amp efficiently I would need a 4 channel amp that produces at least 100 watts per channel. Is that correct?

Sorry if my questions are rather noobish. I'm just starting to get into car audio and figured this forum could help me understand it all a bit more.

Basically you can run all 4 off of 2 channels BUT since the fronts have less power handling than the rears it would be smarter to buy a 4 channel amp with seperate volumes/gains for the front/rear channels to maximize your system.

its all good man,

well, I would have tried to match your speakers little bit better, the kappas sound like tin cans. but I think youll be happy with the Alpine's.

Ya id go with a amp that can put out around 100w x 4 but thats me, I dont really know how loud you like to play your music, but you could get away with a 80x4 amp. 40 w just wont cut it for them alpines dude, sorry

If your on a real budget, i suggest this

Crunch GPV1600.4 (gpv16004) - 4 Channel Amplifier | Four Channel Amp - Sonic Electronix

or

MB Quart DSC 480 Class A/B 4-Channel Discus Series Amplifier

I personally wouldn't run 4 speakers of 2 channels, even if they were the same make.

being able to adjust front and rear can make a huge difference in sound.

that amp is still only 50w @ 4 ohms dude....

I personally dont know anything about powerbass...

like i said the best budget amps are, MB quart dsc series, and Audiopipe

so are the dsc series amps, and most the audiopipe stuff as well
Audiopipe does rated, but not cleanly. I wouldnt touch a single thing that was made by Maxxxonics. To my knowledge they dont offer a single amp solution for what the OP is looking for either.

meh your opinion, I owned 2 dsc series amps and was more than happy, along with alot of the people on this forum.

and yes they do, he was originally looking for amp that can power 4 sets of speakers...

People on this forum dont care about SQ. Most are just after the most bass possible for the cheapest price possible which makes the MB Quarts DSC series a forum boner. Regardless of if people have good results its still a Maxxxonics product and almost all of anything made by Maxxxonics is garbage. Hence the reason why I wouldnt touch them.

And then inquired about running a 12" as well off the same amp.

OP for the same price you can get the step above the ASA700.5X from SonicElectronixs eBay store. Gives you more power on tap:
