i know what you mean, we get bad winters here.
but like i said it does not matter if i shave the handles or have handles if the door freezes it freezes. you see what im saying?

and i do not pull hard on the handle if it will not open. i babe this truck.

i pour cold water around my door, works every time. never use hot water as you can crack/shatter your window. dont ask me how i know......

i have never had shaved doors before and i want it on this truck. i have already shaved the tail gate handle.

bu tthis truck has a popper for the back window and its factory and i have it conected to my alarm fob so i nver use it anyway the handle that is.

and i have never had a problem in the winter opening my rear window.

so what makes my doors any different.... there not.

plus that kit has a safety wire so if the fob does not work i can pull the cord...

idk its a internal battle... doors look good no doubt... the nova looks great... but i had trouble in winters and funny thing is the cars not street legal mostly just goes to shows... so doesnt see that much winter if any ... if its something you been looking to do by all means do it... youll love the look... just be ready a lil bit earlier for work... lol the trick i found that works is before getting out of car last time for night... turn heat on full blast... turn off car, then in morning hit the auto start and let it run... ***** for me cuz it seems like the nova takes 25 bucks in gas to leave the drive way... lol

well for now i dont have it. but i do have a unit i have installed the wiring harness just need to install brain, relays and a few other bits.

o and the work shaving the doors it not biggy, can do it in my sleep. been welding/fab work 90% of my life and im 41 ......

the only thing i have problems with is my cheap welder, i get a lot of blow throw, spatter, raised weld beads. so im allays fighting the welder.

a guy a long time ago ( certified welder/fab showed me the way.

for about a year in his spare time he showed me how.......

he was a great friend, but 1 day he was working on his 89 mustang ( hot rod ) it was cold out so he had the doors closed and he was running the car, tuning it.

well he died from the fumes....

i miss him...

im just trying to get my console done and need to map out were everything is going.

so need to know what im going ot use so i know what size holes, spacing.

and they said a sub box couldnt be built out of steel ... im here to tell you experts are wrong... more times than not...

just the truck at this point... me and my uncle and dad built all three... nova is uncles now... guy pulled up at stop light with cash offer on red one and it got sold... all though the nova sits here most of the time... lol
