Will these two XS batteries keep my voltages stable?

I have one D5100R up under the hood right now and am looking to add on another XS battery. Im running an SAZ-3000D and will eventually add on one or two more amps to power two 6.5's and two 6x9's. Would adding in a D1200 be now and future proof enough for me or should I go higher? I imagine I wont be going any higher than 3500 total watts

It will help you have more of a reserve for playing time when car is off or until the battery is depleted. Then your amp/voltage will depend heavily on if your alternator can handle the current draw from the amps/can replenish the juice sucked out of the battery.

3500rms is H/O alternator territory.

I ran my TREO SSX 750.1 at .5 ohms which should be around 3k on a stock 140 amp alt.... killed my batt really quickly, before anybody picks this apart i understood the likely outcome of this, so STFU

And most cars don't have that big of alts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah and 140a is pretty great for stock. Hell, I am working with a stock 80a lulz. And some civics go down to 60a stock. However, I don't plan on having anywhere near 3.5k.

For 3.5k I'd consider 200a+ alty and a sturdy couple of batts to keep everything okie dokie.

so 3KW for the subs and 500W for the rest of the system..........................

I just dont want to have to deal with returning it because it wasnt enough for me, itd be nice to know ill be now and future proof for certain when i get another battery. And im just not positive in my knowledge if a D1200 is enough with what i got

Well, since I haven't run that battery with that alt and those amps, I can't tell ya. Sorry lol.

Maybe someone with a similar system will chime in.

Bump for a guy with a reasonable question.
