will these speakers keep up with my subs?

why cheap out on the speakers which are what you're REALLY listening to?
You know, around here I wouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt on that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i like loud bass too sometimes. but many times, it also gets old and i end up turning them way down and just trying to make everything sound good.

i just think its a waste when people limit themselves to $100 speakers, when you can get speakers that retail for $600, for less than $300 online, and those are usually pretty **** good speakers.

now what i wanna no is will i be able to hear the vocals with my subs turned up? or do i need to get a different set of components to keep up with 2200 watts of bass?
does it really matter? the only important part of the song is the bass line

Just an FYI you better really know what you're doing with the gains. The comps you showed are 120 rms PER SET (60rms each).

The amp you showed is 150rms EACH speaker.

Those comps will be toast in an hour.
Ive been running those comps with an amp rated 400@4x2 for months now and haven't had any problems. PPI really underrated that set. So i would say if you do get them to actually get an amp bigger than the alpine your conisdering.

I was using them with an 18" omega, and they weren't keeping up too well when it was turned up real loud.

i heard they were under rated to thats why i was gonna run 150 on em.

an ha well if u can show me some reall nice speakers for 250 then ill buy them

i'll be getting mine by the end of the weeks probably. I don't expect them to keep up with the subs at full tilt, but if the snares are still audible, that's a good start //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'll test with low gain and push it up a little once i'll know the comp set limits.

keeping up with your subs is a myth. One set of comps can't really do it if you have put

any money into your subs. They can keep up to a point, a really loud point; but the

subs will have more left and the single set of comps will be out of gas.
