Will the sub fit into this box?

Ok so this is the box i had in mind. It matches perfectly to the angle of my back seats but I'm concerned if the sub will fit. To me it seems like it will based on my calculations but any other opinions would be great.

The sub would be mounted exactly 3" from the very top of the box. (it would be right in the middle. 3" from top, 3" from bottom, 12" for sub so it all adds up to the 18" height set for the box)

Short answer - NO, the back of the motor will hit the interior back of the enclosure.

If you want that subwoofer to fit to what you have drawn, you will need to have the cut out center @ 7 15/16" measuring up from the bottom on the slant/angle front.

Based on what I drafted given the side profile of the enclosure dims and using the dims of the subwoofer to determine where the subwoofer motor hit the interior back.

Increase the top dim 1" and leave the bottom alone and the subwoofer will fit without any problems per the location you already established on the front angled baffle. If you want to increase the top more than 1" and still leave the bottom alone, the subwoofer will fit as well.

Yea but then it's no longer semetrical. I was hoping to have it 3" from the top and 3" from the bottom.

OK, what's more important to you:

The looks or fitting the subwoofer?????

If your going for looks, then increase both the top and bottom by 1" and the subwoofer will fit no problem.
