will subs wired at 0.5 ohm be okay on a 1 ohm stable amp?

every time i try to reply i get this.....

"Thank you for posting! Your post will not be visible until a moderator has approved it for posting. "

why!!!???????

Hifonics HFI1000.1D is th amp

and electrical is 4 gauge

i found that it only does that when i try to post a link. i was trying to post a link the the webpage with the amp.

i figure it hit harder. i don't know/ im just starting to learn. i have 2 cvr12's final load 2 ohm on a old school rockford bd1000.1 . it does 1000rmw at 2ohm. don't think it does lower then that. is there no point to running 800-1000rms at .5?

Well generally you would want to find an amp that does it's power at 2 ohms, unless you are running higher power applications where there are amps stable down to .5 an ohm.

It's going to be easier finding an amp that does 800 to 1000 rms at 2 ohms than at .5 ohms. Not only that, but running an amp at .5 ohms is a lot harder on your electrical than running an amp at 2 ohms

If an amp is capable of running at .5 ohms rather than 2 ohms, it will put out a lot more power. However, it will be a lot less efficient, and draw a lot more current.
