Will stock nightshades handle 2400 rms each?

I do not suggest the completely stock current model for 2400-watts RMS.
Next year we are updating the "stock" model and it will be built like most of the custom order drivers w/ long coil and cooling upgrade. The current "stock" model was optimized for the most output possible with 1500-watts RMS but we have found that customers prefer to put more power on them.
do you know what time next year Jacob? Got a month in mind? I may be able to wait if thats better

This must be bizzle's cousin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
2 15's hitting 150's daily on music isn't going to easily happen. You'll have to push the subs too hard and for long listening periods shit will get stinky and fail.

Why not step up to 2 18's or 4 15's as cone area is your friend. You want to overbuild: meaning lots of cone area and plenty of power, so you're not running on the ragged edge. Tis way different to burp then to play loud for long periods of time.

Sleepy is set up for daily. Plays low and sounds good. He can play all day long and does 148+ and "sounds" louder to the ear. It hurts to sit in his car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I just thru 4 15's in a wall in my Altima. Box is way too small and on 1500 per sub I did a 149.7 and I could push the subs hard all day long on that kind of power in that small of an enclosure.

What does your current set up do on the TL? What's the loudest vehicle you've heard? I ask because the 2 I mentioned are fine for 2-3 minutes at a time, but no way in hell could you sit in them on full tilt for any real amount of time.
Yeah I was thinkin of running 4 15" sx's but then I would have to wall. Something with more cone area would be nice. What about 4 12's and over 2 15's....somethin like the sx's.

I haven't gotten my car metered yet, but all I know is that its not loud enough for "me"...I can take it while others can't....And know I aint jbizzles cousin, he just says he loves me:eek:

I would love to have 2 nighshades, but maybe more cone area would be better. If someone wants to donate their meter or rent it out lmk:)

Seems to be a debate here.

I have 2 custom nightshades built with those options. I wasn't trying to gain by putting more power on them, but I already had one of my amps and I wanted to be completely sure I didnt F up my investment. Really, blowing the subs, or ditching the amp and getting a new one would cost more than getting the custom 'shades. Another reason is I really do listen daily... every time I'm in the car.... almost the whole time.

I just got one of the nightshades in my car and its eating 2000 rms like a beast... could prolly take more.

Now I just need to get the other one in...

I'd say get the upgrades... especially if you play alot and are definitely going with a bigger amp than the 1500...
