im definately a newbie at alt of this stuff, and although i can spit out alot of ratings and OTHER peoples opinions about car audio, my novice ears haven't heard a ton of set-ups to say the least. i've really only heard the fosgates and sony's in bestbuy, and 2 shity set-ups from kids at school.

right now, im planning my set-up which *in theory* will include 2 RE SE!0's and a BX1500D. but thinking about it, with all the high reviews, and all of the audiofiles on this forum that say this set-up will pound...i believe them.

im gonna get 1 SE10 for now, and dunno what amp, but just ONE sub, will prolly be alot for my ears.

the reason i posted a thread was just to hear some comments. i guess my main point/question is for a newbie that is simply used to listening to loud STOCK system, will 1 RE SE10 with 600-100W RMS please my ears? and meet my NON-competitor needs?

If you build it well, it will. Everyone will tell you, install makes the biggest difference. You need to know what you are doing, and do it well. Don't half-*** the job, if you need something (like thicker wood) wait and get it, don't settle for less.

If you build the right box and do a good job installing everything, your system will sound incredible compared to stock systems that are "loud".
