Will my car handle this?

i have a audiobahn a8000t powering a re se. the amp is class a/b and running 800 watts rms. my alternator handles it very well, no dim lights or anyhting, i was thinking of upgrading to a hifonics bx1500d and a re sx, will my alternator handle this or will i need a new one?

HAve you upgraded your wacker in girth, length, potency?

j/k he means the Alt->Bat wire, Bat -> Chassis wire and the Chassis -> engine block wires (Do them all in 0/1ga or at least 4ga)

What kind of car, how many amps is the alt putting out now?

im definatly new to the wiring and battery/alternator stuff so i dont really know what you guys are completly talking about, i have a 2003 camry, with nothing upgraded i dont think, no idea how many amps its putting out just know that im not getting any dimming at full volume

I doubt it, i have a 96 camry it doesn't handle my 600 watts, of course your car is 7 years newer but i doubt it has that big of an alternator....

Try it and find out. Every car is different with a different set of circumstances. If you get dimming after you install it.. start upgrading the electrical components.
