i have them just sitting around and wanna put them in my new car. what kinda box/size box should i put it in and still be able to use my trunk lol. also how should i wire them to get the best sound from the equipment i have... i plann to use 4 gage wire with a capacitor. not sure of the alternator size or battire size. they are stock to the car (2004 acura rsx). im also wondering how i should wire the sub to the amp?

thanks for reading ^_^

not real new just never went with specs or anything lol always *built* my own and thought it sounded good but sence i put a lil MTX thunder (olld model) with a kole 400 watt amp and got it all tuned in and everything it sounds great. i used to use my kac-9102d to push an eclipse cant rember the model but i was told by the guy i bought it from it was the 1200 watt model so i bought the kac-9102d to push it and it was AWESOME for about a year lol then the sub looked like someone smacked a hammer into the back of it and it nevr made another boom =( cept the one when it hit the bottem of my dumpster lol... would like to under stand more about ohms and the wiring for ohms. if u have any helpful links that would be cool or want to explane that works to lol but i do have solid know how for this type of deal just not the full technical details

The difference between 500rms and 750 rms is not clearly audible, BTW. Only around 2dB under perfect circumstances.

There is a sub wiring sticky at the top of one of the forums on here, can't remember which one right now. It will give you diagrams on how to wire various sub configurations to different loads. There's also one on Kicker's website.

how do i wire it at 4 ohms? and if my amp puts 850@2ohms shouldent i wire it at 2 ohms or would that be bad as it more then the rating for the sub? i under stand what an ohm is i just dont understand how u wire to change the ohms? if an amp is made for 4 ohms thats all it will do correct?

your sub's a dual 2 - dual 2's can only be wired for 1 (parallel) or 4 (series) ohms.

There are wiring diagrams you can look at rockfordfosgate.com, jlaudio.com, the ca.com stickies etc that show you how it's done.

i attatched 2 diagrams im gussing i have to use the second one (1_2ohmDVC_4ohm.jpg ) because of my amp? or will my amp be ok with a 1 ohm load?

ok i figured out last question lol now last question and ill be done hehe.

if i bridge it will that give me the 500 rms? or hook it up as 1 channel? really dont want to blow the stuff

The amp is mono, it cannot be bridged as it's only one channel. Hook it up as 4 ohms, your amp is not stable to 1 ohm
think thats what ill do. thanks for the help guys got my new box on the way and new head unit as well...

No just set your gains correctly.
850 would be better that 500 IMO..Wire it at 2ohm..
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif its clearly stated the sub is a dual 2 ohm sub....

please show me one way to wire that sub to 2 ohms.

IMO you're an idiot.
