Will it blow?

My brother gave me his old w6v2 that i think is misaligned.

When i push on the cone i can hear the coil rubbing and when it plays it makes a boing boing noise everytime the bass hits.

BUT

the output and SQ is still great in my car as long as i'm not looking at the sub.

I'm gonna keep it in my car to see what happens..

What do you guys think, will it eventually blow?

ahah well i'm gonna go pull out my ED 6.5's and put the w6v2 in there. I'll shoot a vid of the noise.. but really it sounds really good as long as i don't look at the sub.

okay.. i thought i wouldnt hear the noise with my seats up and trunk closed.. but i can hear it clearly on low volumes...

I don't know why but i like my 6.5's more than this w6.

here it is.. i forgot to say he ripped a 3" tear in the surround so i goop'd it.

i don't know what else to do with this sub.. any suggestions besides wall socketing it.

i slammed a ton of power on it and it looked like the rubber surround was about to fly off so i turned it down.. now its working perfectly fine. i ran upstairs and told my brother i fixed it and then he took it back. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

anyways.. reminds me of when tuan reconed my w7. it made that wierd boing boing noise and he told me to slam a ton of power on it and it will eventually go away and it did.

well at least he has the w6 grill thing so nobody sees its ugliness. other than that its a nice sub.. not my cup of tea though.

Maybe invest in something new. and dependable.....
