well i bought a 2 ohm type r thinking i could run it at 2 ohms.

i just found out that you have to buy a 4 ohm sub to run at 2 ohms.

i'm going to be using a 400 watt alpine amp 600 watts at 2 ohms

should i return the sub and get the 4 ohm type r?

or should i be fine with 400 watts at 4 ohms

i really wanted to feel the bass rattle my chest.

am i losing a lot of bass because of this mix up?

i wish i would have known this before i bought everything. i bought all my stuff online so returning it is going to be a beezy

**** this sucks balls.

i'm just going to return it. 200 watts is a huge difference

i'm going to have no sub for 2 weeks =[

i just wish someone would have told me that.

instead that should read

I just wish I did my research before i bought this

i'm new to all this and i had been saying how i was getting a 2 ohm sub so i could run it at 2 ohms through my amp. how was i supposed to know? nobody said anything about it.

we all learn from our mistakes

take their advice..u wont be getting 'full throttle' from this sub @600 also but its better then 400...plus...u wont be havin 600 clear power anyways...maybe u should consider returning the amp if possible and getting smthg new???
